Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CTradeBoard handles personal data when you browse, create an account, publish listings, message other users, or use marketplace features.

The platform is built for collectors and sellers. That means we process the information needed to operate accounts, listings, messages, trust signals, and location-based discovery when you choose to use it.

Information we process

  • Account data, such as your sign-in identity, display name, avatar, profile details, and account preferences.
  • Marketplace data, such as listings, wanted lists, listing photos, listing descriptions, prices, item details, profile pages, feedback, and public seller activity.
  • Communication data, such as chat messages, notifications, reports, and support requests.
  • Location preferences, such as approximate coordinates or a municipality when you choose nearby listing features.
  • Technical data, such as device/browser information, IP-derived security signals, logs, cookie identifiers, and listing-view tracking used to protect and operate the marketplace.

Why we use personal data

We use personal data to provide the marketplace, authenticate users, show listings, enable messages, remember preferences, protect the platform, prevent abuse, and respond to support or legal requests.

Depending on the feature, the legal basis may be performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the marketplace, consent where required, or compliance with legal obligations.

What other users can see

Public listing and profile information is visible to other users and visitors. This can include seller handle, public seller profile, listing content, images, prices, feedback, and other information you choose to publish.

Messages are shared with the people in the conversation and may be reviewed when needed to investigate abuse, safety issues, legal requests, or support cases.

Service providers and disclosures

We use infrastructure, authentication, storage, database, email, security, analytics if enabled, and support providers to run the platform. These providers may process data for us under their own security and data-processing terms.

We may disclose information when needed to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, enforce platform rules, respond to lawful requests, or complete a transaction feature you ask us to perform.

Retention and security

We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, protect the marketplace, or meet legal obligations. Some temporary browser data expires quickly; account, listing, message, and moderation records may be retained longer.

We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their account credentials and avoid sharing sensitive information in public listings.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

If you are in Portugal or the EU, you can also contact the Portuguese data-protection authority, CNPD, if you believe your rights have not been respected.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage to keep the service working, remember preferences, support sign-in, and protect marketplace integrity. The Cookie Policy explains the current cookies and storage entries in more detail.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
